Director, Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment
Rob Zivnuska is Director of BlackRock's Americas Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment team, based in San Francisco. In this role, Rob manages all aspects of the corporate governance function for North and South America: developing corporate governance policy; representing BlackRock in engagement with issuers, clients and regulators; and supporting global corporate governance efforts. The team also serves as a central resource for BlackRock's varied responsible investment solutions.
Rob was previously Senior Counsel in the BlackRock Legal and Compliance department, and also served in that capacity with Barclays Global Investors (BGI) prior to BGI's merger with BlackRock. In that role, Rob worked with the iShares exchange traded fund and Defined Contribution businesses to develop new products and engage with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Prior to joining BGI, Rob was a corporate attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP. At Skadden, Rob counseled companies and investors on capital markets transactions, mergers, acquisitions, venture capital investments, proxy contests and corporate governance issues. Rob holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A., with honors, from the University of California, Davis. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
