Ms. Isaacs provides counsel to clients in strategic public relations, crisis communications, transactional communications and investor relations, serving a wide range of industries including energy, financial services, technology, and manufacturing.

Ms. Isaacs works with clients during times of change at all stages of the corporate lifecycle. She has helped several companies announce and position transformative or complex M&A transactions, including:

Baker Hughes' acquisition of BJ Services
The merger of equals of ProLogis and AMB
Plains All American Pipeline's unsolicited bid for SemGroup
Broadcom's unsolicited acquisition proposal for Emulex
Comcast's acquisition of NBC Universal

She has also supported the successful bankruptcy reorganizations of an auto parts manufacturer, several retailers, a newspaper conglomerate, a homebuilder, and many other companies.

Ms. Isaacs regularly counsels companies as they work through difficult circumstances including regulatory investigations, litigation, proxy fights, data losses, unexpected management transitions, poor financial results, physical disasters and other crises. She currently advises a Houston energy company on its response to a prominent activist investor. She provided support to a global energy services company as it settled litigation relating to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. She also worked with a major utility following a fatal gas pipeline explosion, as the company addressed the regulatory and legal implications of the explosion and implemented substantial operational and organizational changes.

Sydney Rosencranz Isaacs previously worked in the Los Angeles office of Abernathy MacGregor and now is based for the firm in Houston. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Claremont McKenna College and a native Houstonian.
